This year we are going to the community in hopes to raise $40,000 that
we plan to use in granting educational scholarships to deserving young women
for the advancement of their education, as well as hosting our annual
cultural and educational festival, BoriquaFest, which highlights Puerto
Rican culture through music, delicacies, crafts, and children’s activities,
continuing the tradition that was established since 1992.
Due to the support of our sponsors, supporting public and volunteers, the
Puerto Rican Heritage Organization’s (PRHO) 2007 Scholarship Pageant and
BoriquaFest, which attracted over 10,000 people throughout the day, were
successful. Our events reflect the very essence of our mission statement to
impact the community by building a positive understanding of our heritage
and culture through the promotion of education and advancement.
To help us meet our campaign goal, we hope that you will consider making a
gift (attached please find our Supporter and Sponsor Sheet for your kind
consideration). While the suggested levels were developed with our goal in
mind, we recognize and understand that in the final analysis you will
consider what is right for you. Of course, whatever you give will be deeply
appreciated.
